This seven week workshop series focuses on the diversity of cultural dances from Africa and the Caribbean diaspora. Participants will learn dance movements that are enriched with effective historical and instructional techniques relevant to past and current urban styles such as Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and Hip Hop. Content will spotlight the Bomba, Afro Cuban, Afro Haitian, Palo, Garifuna and African Dance. The workshop will culminate in a December showcase! It is open to anyone 18 years and older. Dress comfortably (no jeans or dresses). No prior dance experience needed. LIVE DRUMMING IN EVERY CLASS!
